Covid-19 Update
The employees of Sampson's want to thank you for continuing to trust us with your prosthetic and orthotic services and needs.
During these unprecedented times, we hope that you and your staff are safe and well in the midst of COVID-19.
According to the New York State "Stay at Home" order issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo, Prosthetic and Orthotics has been deemed as an "Essential Service" and will continue to serve patients as we have done without interruption to date. We have implemented many preventative measures to ensure the safety of our staff, patients and providers. Below are a few of Sampson's updates to managing appointments in our five office locations.
At Our Five Office Locations
PRE-SCREENING
We are conducting pre-screening via phone calls prior to the appointment to ask if our patients are experiencing 1) a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing; (2) traveled to or had close contact with someone who has traveled to high risk countries; or (3) tested positive for or been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
DISINFECTING
Our staff has updated our sanitation policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In our clinics we are thoroughly sanitizing our waiting room and patient room after each patient. Our staff have been taking extra precautions by thoroughly washing their hands with soap and water and using hand sanitizer before and after seeing a
patient. Our providers will also wear gloves and masks at all times when working with patients.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
In order to comply with the need for social distancing, we have arranged our waiting area to follow the 6 feet apart guidelines, we have patients call from their car when they arrive before entering the building. We have also removed magazines and toys from the waiting area and fitting rooms.
We request patients wear a mask during their appointment if they have one or we will provide them a mask as long as supplies are available.
