Advanced technology products include:

KiddieGAIT™

The KiddieGAIT™ from Allard USA is a lightweight AFO, which doesn’t lock up ankles and allows feet to move in a more fluid and natural biomechanical gait pattern. Its anterior support provides opportunity to enhance proprioceptive response and to manage knee extension/flexion movement. The carbon graphite shell adds stability, while its lightweight and energy reflecting properties encourage more dynamic gait. KiddieGAIT can be applied to pediatric patients with footdrop, MMC, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, low tone crouch gait, toe-walker with no midfoot collapse, and gait deviation secondary to proprioceptive deficit.

Cascade DAFO JumpStart®

The Cascade DAFO JumpStart® products are intended for patients with pronation, supination, inconsistent ankle modulation, and knee hyperextension. The products use a precision-molded double shell (one nested inside the other) for both wrap-around control and extra heel stabilization. JumpStart products include:

  • Cricket™ for mild to moderate pronation with arch collapse, heel eversion, and mild forefoot abduction. Two modular layers provide a partial wrap in a low profile.
  • Leap Frog™ for moderate pronation or supination and associated gait instability. Open ankle trimline of this SMO (supra-malleolar orthosis) allows free dorsiflexion and plantarflexion movement.
  • Bunny™ for inconsistent ankle modulation, toe walking, and knee hyperextension. Styles include a posterior strap to resist plantarflexion movement and mild knee hyperextension, or an elastic anterior-posterior strap for moderate ankle stability in all places.
  • Kangaroo™ for moderate pronation, supination, toe walking, and knee hyperextension. Proximal posterior upright on this AFO blocks plantarflexion movement. Anterior opening allows free dorsiflexion. Posterior upright is meant to encourage the lower leg to flex away from it.

Ultraflex® EWHO

For patients with Erbs Palsy/Brachial Plexus Injury, Ultraflex® offers a custom-molded EWHO (elbow-wrist-hand orthosis). The EWHO has a dynamic elbow, wrist-hand, and free fingers. An adjustable forearm rotation option is available that can also be used as an EO or WHO separately. The EWHO maintains and restores full passive elbow, wrist extension, and full supination while nerves regenerate.

Ultraflex® UltraSafeGait™

The Ultraflex® UltraSafeGait™ is a custom-molded adjustable dynamic response (ADR) AFO designed for children with crouch gait types, equinus gait types, and all of their variants. It can come with either a posterior calf shell or an anterior proximal shell and with or without an SMO, depending on the clinical presentation.

Flex Foam™ TLSO

Spinal Technology's Flex Foam™ TLSO (thoracic-lumbar-sacral orthosis) for scoliosis is designed for patients who cannot tolerate a rigid orthosis. The Flex Foam offers a softer inner layer of foam for the relief of bony prominences combined with a dense outer foam. The rigid external frame provides support where indicated. The frame is detachable and can be strategically adjusted as indicated by patient needs.
